BCS 26.2: Services in Focus, and Better Guidance in Day-to-Day Work
With BCS 26.2, services beyond traditional project business move even more firmly into focus. The new Services workspace provides greater transparency when handling customer requests and, for the first time, makes customer satisfaction visible and measurable through direct feedback in the ticket. Enhanced assistants, informative tooltips, and more clearly structured views provide important information at a glance and guide users more confidently through their daily tasks. The release is rounded out by numerous enhancements in invoicing, project management, Scrum, CRM, HR administration, security, and AI.
New “Services” Workspace: Centrally Organize Ongoing Service Processes
BCS 26.2 introduces the new “Services” workspace. It was designed specifically for long-term support, maintenance, and operations services that continue on an ongoing basis after a project has been completed. Instead of managing these activities through project groups and ongoing tasks, you can now clearly separate projects from recurring service work.
The new workspace brings together all key features for day-to-day service operations. These include all features related to the ticket module, resource utilization, time tracking, and personal work organization, including appointments, workflows, checklists, and follow-ups. Quotes, invoices, products, reports, and analyses are also available directly within the service context. Roles such as Service Manager, Service Administrator, and Service Observer ensure clear responsibilities across the team.
For resource planning, you can account for recurring workloads through baseline capacity requirements and temporary workloads through capacity allocations. The new capacity allocations support both utilization planning and the prevention of overbooking. The configurable ticket score makes it easier to prioritize tickets. You can also conduct customer satisfaction surveys directly within a ticket and analyze the results afterward.
Starting with BCS 26.2, the workspace is available as a separate module that can be activated and is also available for BCS.light.
Record and Analyze Customer Satisfaction Directly in the Ticket
With the new feature, your customers can provide feedback after a ticket has been closed, either through a simple rating, such as stars, or by leaving a free-text comment. This feedback is displayed directly in the ticket and can also be included in lists, reports, and analyses. In addition to traditional metrics, BCS can now capture the more qualitative dimension of customer satisfaction.
This benefits both customers and internal stakeholders. Customers can share specific feedback about their experience, while service managers, account managers, and executive management gain a clearer overview of satisfaction at both the ticket and customer level. With this optional new module, you can measure the quality of your customer relationships and collaboration.
The feature is available for BCS.light.
Interactive Tooltips: More Information Directly in Your Work Context
With BCS 26.2, tooltips have been significantly enhanced. In addition to descriptive guidance, they now provide additional information and relevant links as well as, in some cases, direct actions exactly where they are needed.
For example, contacts, customers, project managers, agenda items, invoice line items, payment information, and related documents can be viewed more quickly without having to open the corresponding detail view. Longer content is also presented more clearly, links can conveniently be opened in a new tab, and switching between tooltips is smoother.
The result: fewer clicks and less mouse movement, a faster overview, and an overall more consistent and intuitive user experience in day-to-day work.
The feature is also available in BCS.light.
Improved and More Flexible Assistant Navigation
In BCS 26.2, working with assistants is significantly easier. The assistant remains open even when you switch to other views. This allows you to look up information or complete additional tasks and then continue exactly where you left off.
Within the assistant, you can move flexibly between individual steps and, when needed, jump directly to a later step. Views you have already visited are clearly marked, so you can always see which areas you have already completed.
The result: less loss of orientation, greater flexibility, and a more structured approach, even for complex workflows.
The feature is also available in BCS.light.

Safety-related changes/ bug-fixes
It's worth updating to the latest BCS version! We are constantly working to identify potential security vulnerabilities and fix them immediately. The latest BCS version always contains the fixes for security gaps made in previous releases.

What also impresses us is the release stability and transparency of BCS itself. We always have the feeling that we are transparently informed about product development - whether via the website, the newsletter or the release events in the fixed quarterly release cycle. One visit to the website and you can see immediately: What is planned for the next release? What has been released recently? What is already available, but maybe I don't use it yet? Because of this transparency and reliability, Projektron's product development deserves great praise.

We appreciate the flexibility and maximum customizability that BCS offers. In fact, we have also had many specifications made. We always eagerly await new BCS versions, and we usually update very quickly after a new release. Here we see another fantastic advantage of BCS - it is maximally customizable and yet easily update-compatible.
Preview – BCS 26.3
The agile development model Scrum combined with the appropriate BCS support makes it possible: Find out here which important innovations are planned for the next version. Please note that there is no guarantee that the announced features will appear in exactly this form and in the next release. Short-term changes cannot be ruled out.
Product Management: Centrally Manage Products, Goals, and Releases in BCS
With BCS 26.3, product management is available as a regular functional area. Companies can centrally structure and manage products, backlogs, epics, features, user stories, product goals, budgets, and releases in BCS. Product management can also be used independently of project planning that is fully based on Scrum. Several detailed enhancements simplify day-to-day work. New product items can be created more clearly, release plans and requirement views have been optimized, and follow-up user stories can be created more quickly. The ability to restore accidentally deleted requirements and shorter workflows in the Scrum Board also support product managers, product owners, and Scrum teams in planning and continuously developing their products.
Connect BPMN Processes with Third-Party Systems
With BCS 26.3, BPMN processes are expected to be able to access external REST APIs directly. This will allow data to be sent to or retrieved from other applications while a process is running, for example for approvals, translations, or the transfer of absence data.
Responses from connected systems can then be processed further within the process. This enables integrations to be automated more extensively and process decisions to be made based on the returned data—without requiring additional scheduled scripts or separate middleware.
Agenda: Prepare and Run Meetings More Efficiently
With BCS 26.3, working with meeting agendas becomes clearer and more streamlined. Agenda items and linked objects can be viewed directly within the meeting and opened more quickly. Agenda content can also be transferred to synchronized Outlook meetings. In presentation mode, linked content is arranged more clearly, reducing unnecessary mouse movements. After the final agenda item, a new closing view guides users through key follow-up steps. This allows BCS to support the entire meeting workflow, from the start of the meeting through to a structured conclusion.
AI Assistant with Selectable Context, Linked Sources, and Role-Based Access
With BCS 26.3, the AI Assistant is expected to become more closely integrated into work with tasks and other BCS objects. Visible context tokens indicate which object a chat refers to. Users can also select multiple tasks and define which information the AI should consider when generating its responses.
The traceability of AI-generated answers is also being improved. The AI Assistant is expected to display and directly link to the BCS content used as a source, such as checklists or activity logs. Users will also be able to ask questions about the contact history to quickly review previous agreements, activities, and developments. If the volume of data prevents all available content from being taken into account, BCS will clearly indicate this.
Authorized users are also expected to be able to access security-related content from the administration documentation through AI Help. BCS takes the user’s role into account and makes sensitive information available only to appropriately authorized users. This makes AI-generated answers more precise and useful without compromising the protection of confidential administration and security information.
