Projektron honored for equal opportunities and diversity

On October 23, Projektron was awarded the TOTAL E-QUALITY rating for equal opportunities and the additional rating for diversity in a ceremony at the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce.

Projektron has received the TOTAL E-QUALITY award, which is the result of an extensive application process, for the second time. Managing Director Maik Dorl says of the renewed award, which is again valid for three years: "We see ourselves confirmed that a balanced gender ratio is important for the success of a company."

A total of 47 organizations from business, science and administration as well as associations were awarded the TOTAL E-QUALITY award this year for their personnel and corporate management oriented toward equal opportunities, including the cities of Ulm and Leipzig, Deutsche Post AG, the Berlin University of Applied Sciences as well as RheinEnergie AG and Robert Bosch GmbH. 15 of the award-winning organizations also received the special Diversity Award, which was presented for the first time.

"The leaders of our award winners have recognized that equal opportunities and diversity that are lived and firmly anchored in the organization lead to greater success. They practice modern, future-oriented human resources management in an exemplary manner," says Eva Maria Roer, chairwoman of the TOTAL E-QUALITY Germany association.

At Projektron, the female quota of 45% is above average for an IT company. At the management level, six out of eleven positions are held by women. Flexible working hours, part-time models, home office and well-organized opportunities to return to work after parental leave are central aspects of the family-friendly corporate culture.

Projektron has already received several awards for its human resources work. For example, the software company achieved first place in its size category in the Great Place to Work competition "Best Employers in Berlin-Brandenburg 2015".
