AIM Infrared Modules develops and distributes infrared detectors and thermal imaging equipment for the international high-technology market. New projects can therefore become very complex. Since 2015, AIM Infrared Modules has relied on Projektron BCS support for its project communication and resource management.

With over 40 years of experience and a team of more than 300 qualified specialists, AIM Infrarot-Module GmbH develops, manufactures and distributes high-quality infrared detectors and thermal imaging devices as well as Stirling cooling machines for operating the detectors at cryogenic temperatures. The high-tech company combines all relevant core capabilities in the fields of electronics, microelectronics, semiconductor technology to crystal growing, optics and precision engineering under one roof. AIM not only produces series products but also offers customized solutions and belongs to the small top group of manufacturers in these technology segments worldwide. AIM products are in use by the German Armed Forces and various countries, especially within NATO. They are also used in research, industrial processes, security technology and environmental protection. A new important segment are space-based applications.

Complexity arises from the high vertical range of manufacture at AIM, but above all from the interaction of a wide variety of activities in departments such as semiconductor and electronics development, precision mechanics and measurement technology. Projektron BCS provides, on the one hand, the possibility of standard-compliant processing of development projects according to the critical path method and, on the other hand, a "toolbox" for project communication that meets the needs of the most diverse departments. In addition, BCS integrates excellently into the existing software environment.
