Donations 2026: Seven Organizations and Their Work

Math competitions, youth soccer, a neighborhood meeting place, and rainforest restoration: The seven organizations Projektron supports with donations in 2026 work in a variety of fields. Here, we introduce them and their work.

Once again this year, our employees had the opportunity to suggest nonprofit organizations for support. The recipients range from local organizations in Berlin and Brandenburg to organizations working internationally. Many offer programs for children and young people. Others focus on mobility or preserving forest habitats.

Discovering Math and Enriching School Life

The Mathematics Olympiad is about more than getting the right answer: Participants also need to explain how they arrived at their solution. Students in third grade and above can tackle challenging math problems. The association Mathematikolympiaden in Berlin e.V.organizes the Berlin state competitions and supports the competition rounds at schools and in the city's districts. It is once again among our donation recipients in 2026.

The Förderverein des Fontane-Gymnasiums Rangsdorf e.V., the school's support association, takes a different approach to supporting education. It supports school life and extracurricular activities at the Fontaneum and helps when projects lack funding. Its work includes supporting initiatives led by students and teachers. Projektron is also supporting the association with a donation this year.

Exploring Technology and Learning as a Team

“Learning to help through play” is the motto of THW-Jugend, the youth organization of Germany's Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW). In Berlin's Marzahn-Hellersdorf district, young people can learn about the agency's work. They explore technology and practice solving problems together.

This combines technical knowledge with practical experience in teamwork: coordinating with others, looking out for one another, and working together on a task. Projektron is once again supporting THW-Jugend Berlin Marzahn-Hellersdorf e.V. with a donation in 2026.

Soccer and Open-Access Youth Programs in Berlin

Soccer is at the heart of BSV Grün-Weiss Neukölln. The club has teams for different age groups and places particular emphasis on its youth programs. Alongside athletic training, its club philosophy identifies tolerance, inclusion, and respect as important foundations. The club is among our donation recipients in 2026.

The K3 Kiez-Kids-Klub is an open-access meeting place in Berlin's Moabit neighborhood. This recreational and educational center gives young people space to develop their own ideas and take part in activities together. Its focus areas include cultural education, media literacy, sports, and academic support. Giving young people a say in decisions is also part of its approach. Projektron is continuing its support for the club with another donation in 2026.

Making Everyday Journeys Easier with Bicycles

In rural areas, long distances can make it difficult to attend school or access healthcare. World Bicycle Relief addresses these challenges with bicycles: Students can reach their schools more easily, and community health workers can reach people in remote locations. The organization provides bicycles with the goal of improving access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities.

Connecting Forest Habitats in Borneo

The Rhino and Forest Fund e.V. works in the Malaysian state of Sabah on Borneo. The association protects rainforests and restores degraded forest areas. Its work includes purchasing former plantations between protected areas and reforesting them.

One goal of this work is to connect isolated forest areas through wildlife corridors. Projektron has supported the association with donations since 2019. This year marks the eighth time it has been among our donation recipients.

Suggestions from Our Team

Employees will have the opportunity to suggest organizations again next year. This allows them to highlight the work of nonprofit groups and initiatives and introduce it to their colleagues. We thank the people involved in the organizations featured here and our colleagues for their suggestions.
