Best Practice Studies Award for bachelor thesis at Projektron

Projektron employee Lucas Artaza received the Best Practice Studien Award 2017 for his bachelor thesis.

In his bachelor thesis on "Project Portfolio Management of IT Projects According to the Stage Gate Model", a prototype was used to prove the extent to which the stage gate process for IT projects can be mapped in project management software and made usable for managing project portfolios. The scientific investigation of the topic was based on Cooper's Stage Gate Model, the most important PM standards (IPMA, PMI, PRINCE2) and the evaluation of 13 expert interviews during Artaza's internship at Projektron.

"We are delighted with Lucas' great performance. The results of his bachelor thesis are especially interesting for companies with 50 to 500 employees, which often do not work via prescribed process instructions in IT projects and are shown potentials here," said Dotchka Pentcheva, process and HR manager at Projektron.

The award was presented at the annual conference of the Best Practice User Group Deutschland e.V. (BPUG) on November 10 to three prize winners. It honors outstanding work on the theory and practice of best practice methods.

The PRINCE2 Best Practice Award 2017 was also presented at the annual conference.

The Best Practice User Group Deutschland e.V. represents the interests of users of best practice methods in Germany. It provides a platform for the exchange of experience and participates in the development of methods.
