HTW Saarland

The sophisticated wizards in Projektron BCS give students at HTW Saarland a jump start in project management.

Projektron BCS in use

HTW Saarland uses Projektron BCS for the following tasks:

  • Project controlling
  • Project planning
  • In university and teaching

At the University of Applied Sciences (HTW), the state polytechnic of the Saarland, students gain the practical knowledge they need for an academic degree in a practical, future-oriented approach. The hands-on course and close collaboration with businesses are trademarks of HTW and help ensure highly qualified academic learning. Because the university has partnered with businesses, the demands of the working world are reflected in curricula at an early stage. When the Masters Degree programs in Communication Computer Science and Practical Computer Science were launched, the accreditation commissions expressly demanded that teamwork and project work under real working conditions be included in the curriculum.

The students of Practical Computer Science and Communication Computer Science have used Projektron BCS since the 2008 summer semester to manage their own development teams of 6-10 students each according to professional standards. They are able to do so after just a brief training period. The sophisticated wizards are a particular highlight and enable students to carry out the necessary administration activities on their own.
